Psychotherapy Plymouth has been operating from Waterloo Well-being Centre since 2009 and The Crownhill Fort since 2013.

During the past nine years our experienced practitioners have provided counselling to individuals, couples and families from all walks of life.

Our practitioners are highly skilled, experienced and work to a strict code of ethics. Each practitioner has completed a high standard of training of professional training, is fully insured and appropriately registered.

We work with a wide range of difficulties including alcohol problems, anger management, anxiety & stress, bereavement, coping with life threatening/terminal illness, communication problems, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, loss of confidence/self esteem, loss of direction and work related issues.

We offer a wide range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT), integrative counselling, core process psychotherapy, systemic and family counselling, work place counselling and Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) a recommended treatment by NICE guidelines to alleviate stress/depression and promote wellbeing.

We are a dedicated team of practitioners with a wide range of experience and specialities who provide a professional counselling, psychotherapy and supervision service.
As you are visiting our website, it is possible that you or someone close to you is experiencing some form of difficulty.

Private counselling and psychotherapy can support individuals; couples and families gain perspective; work through areas of concern and make positive changes.

You may be struggling in your relationship and need support to talk through your concerns, with your partner, in a safe and supportive environment.

Relationship Counselling can provide a safe place for couples to talk through their difficulties and have an opportunity to feel better understood by each other.

You may be feeling stuck and jaded personally or professionally (or both).

Our Mindfulness Courses could help you develop greater self-awareness, calmness and ability to focus and creative activity generally.

Mindfulness based approaches are recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence as a suitable treatment to deal with stress and to help prevent depression relapse.

The Waterloo Well-being, our main counselling centre, is located in the Stoke district of Plymouth. There is ample on street parking which is unrestricted.

The practice has plenty of natural sunlight and provides distant views of Plymouth sound. Wifi is available at the Centre. There is a local bakery close by and a beautiful park within walking distance.

Our  second practice is based at The Crownhill Fort, Officers Quarters 1, 2 &4.

There is ample parking inside the fort. The practice rooms, including a large meditation room, have plenty of natural light and views of the fort grounds.

If you would like to be part of an expanding therapy practice in a tranquil setting both practices has some rental availability, including weekends. The rooms are spacious, welcoming and well appointed.
